CGI Programs

Though it's not CGI, my first project in Perl, as well as the first "Web programming" that I'd ever done, was a script to HTMLize the Jargon File. I still have a copy of the HTMLized version, but the script that generated it was pretty broken, and the HTML that it outputs is pretty broken. It's also more than 10 years out-of-date, so I'm not linking to it. Since I wrote this, Perl 5 has become available, and it has at least one feature that would make the script much nicer.

I only do stuff like this sporadically, since I am pretty busy, and most of the time it's just not worth the effort.

Everything is "under construction". (Please leave those stupid signs out of your pages, too.) Some things are just farther along than others. I haven't written anything that I've been satisfied with yet.

On my personal page, if you looked, you probably noticed that I'm easily distracted. That's one of the reasons that my CGI interface to RCS doesn't work any better than it does now. There's no documentation for this one, either. I don't think I ever wrote it. I probably got distracted and... hey, what's that glittering over there?!?

Lately (uhhh, 15 years ago?), I've been thinking about making a CD database. Lucky for me, someone already had. So I made it searchable. That was a big deal before the advent of good search engines. Nowadays that script doesn't even work any more, so it's not linked.
