This is another composite shot because I couldn't get back far enough to get the entire clock tower in one shot. The horologe below was made in 1410 by the clockmaker Mikuláš of Kadaň and the astronomer Jan Šindel. In 1490 it was repaired by Master Hanuš of Růže. Figures of the apostles which appear in the two blue windows above the horologe were added in the 17th century. Above the windows is a golden rooster which emits a rather odd sounding crow on the hour. In the 19th century the horologe was thoroughly repaired and a new calendar panel by the Czech painter Josef Mánes was put in.
