As our tour guide observed earlier in the day, the street in front of the Zeppelin Grand Stand is mainly used as a parking lot for trucks and a hangout for local teens and skater punks. You can see all of that in this photo I shot as I was leaving the grounds to head back to the hotel in the cab. While it may not show a lot of respect for history, somehow there is something slightly reassuring about human nature to see the site of former Nazi military rallies, the nexus of so much violence and hate, being used for relaxation and fun by kids in the present.
