Another of the entertainments at the Hofbrähaus were these Glockenspiel players. It is kind of amazing how fast they can put down and pick up the different bells in time to play their music, and get it right repeatedly! After these guys there were also some Alpenhorn players (those huge long horns you sometimes see in advertisements for things like Ricola lozenges), yodelers, and Schuhplattler dancers, which my father also used to do in his earlier youth.

(I was shocked when putting together this page and doing a search on "Schuhplattler" that there were a number of American sites for it, including the web ring linked above and clubs in places like Seattle and Dallas!)
