Another example of inscriptions inside the New Town Hall, which I just found rather interesting. Several inscriptions over much of the last century can be seen on this section of the wall.

• Upper left: "OVER ALL THE GERMAN FATHERLAND"
  The City of Munich in remembrance of the third German Imperial Soldier Day in 1929.

• Upper Right: EYE AND HAND FOR FATHERLAND
  (at the resolution I took this picture I have a hard time reading the rest of this inscription)
• Center Top: For the German People, German Unity, Honor and Freedom
• Center Middle: The City of Munich in remembrance of the 13th German Gymnastic Festival in 1923
  - The German Gymnast Socity
• Center Bottom: The City of Munich in remembrance of the 13th German Gymnastic Festival in 1958
  - The German Gymnastic Association
• Bottom: German Gymnastic Competition 1998 - Munich
