This is one of several inscriptions on the walls of the corridor of the New Town Hall between the Marienplatz and the inner courtyard. This one was dedicated by the State Capital City of Munich on April 30, 1992 - "To the members of the U.S. Armed Forces, who freed Munich on April 30, 1945 from the tyranny of National Socialism."
