This plaque is on the front of the Heimatmuseum. It says, to the best of my ability to translate,

1596 The Maulbronn Monastery permitted this building to be erected as a Press and Fruit Storage. It has ridden out good and bad times. It was decided by the advice of the City that it should be renovated, to be preserved for posterity. 1976
