Going around the corner from the library there is this building attached to it, the Mühlacker Heimatmuseum, or home regional museum. Regrettably it was only open on Sundays so we weren't able to go in. Peering through some of the first floor windows I could see some flour bags and old fashioned mill wheels. "Mühle" means "mill", so no doubt in the middle ages or so this town probably had an important flour grinding mill.

I couldn't get far enough back to get this entire stucture in one shot, so this is a composite of 4 photos. In order to get the best unobstructed view I stood on a wide concrete wall next to some stairs going up from the floor of this area to street level behind me. As I was standing there snapping away, Peter unexpectedly pulled up in his van. Passing by while returning from work, and seeing me standing in such a rather precarious position not far from the street traffic, he came over and asked me "Bist du verrückt?" (Are you crazy?)
