This is the North Slope Cascade Waterfall behind the palace. Starting from a rotunda that corresponds to the Venus Temple on the South Side, the waterfall tumbles down into a pool dominated by a statue of Neptune.

The flower bed in the foreground at the bottom of the picture is in the shape of a fleur-de-lis, the symbol of the Bourbon Kings of France.
