This is actually one of my favorite shots from the trip. With little time to spare, I jogged out from the palace back up to the top of the southern terraced hill with the Venus rotunda. This is the view back toward the north with the main palace and the mountains in the background. Although we could have used a little less rain this day, the effect of the mist hanging over the mountains is just beautiful, in my opinion. Reminds me of something from Lord of the Rings, in a way.
