In the hall of the shopping center were statues representing a scene from Goethe's Faust. On one side of the hall there was Faust and Mephistopheles, with the devil calling across to the students in the Auerbach cellar. Two of the students try to retain their friend who is tempted by the devil.

As I noted on the previous page I am a great fan of Faust, and old Mephisto was a great boon to me for my AP English term paper. So I had to get a photo with my old buddy Mephisto!
