Heidelberg

Here are some photos from our too-brief stop in Heidelberg, home of one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in Germany, and the location of the spectacular Heidelberg castle. I got separated from the rest of the tour group and when I tried to catch up found myself going the wrong way and ended up walking up the long cobblestoned path up the side of the mountain to the castle. This was my other athletic feat of the trip, second only to my climbing of the stairs in the tower of St. Michael's church in Hamburg!
