One of our first stops in Hamburg was this little pier on the harbor from which we could get a nice view of the city. This was in the course of driving along an exclusive street with many large and high class homes, built by the wealthy elite of Hamburg over the last century or so. Some of these homes are still in private hands, and some are now used as foreign embassies or other important buildings. Because the street looks out on such a nice view, its name is "Schöne Aussicht"l;, which literally means "Pretty View"! The Germans may have some very long names for things, but usually they are pretty straightforward to figure out!
