This magnificent cathedral is an example of the elaborate style of Wilhelmine Berlin. Built from 1893 - 1905 according to plans by von Rachsdorf. It served as the court church and burial grounds of the Hohenzollerns (the Prussian royal family). The last German Emperor, Kaiser Wilhelm II, who lived in exile after the end of World War One, said he wanted to be buried here after his death, but not until the monarchy is restored in Germany. I think he has a long wait.
